What color plate for flat iron?
What color plate is the best for hair, or straightens it the best? Does this make sense?
The color doesn’t matter, it’s the material the plates are made up of. Ceramic and Tourmaline plates are the best on the market right now.
Ceramic Plates: They heat up pretty quickly and distribute the heat throughout the plates evenly. (Plus it doesn’t burn your hair that much & it locks in some moisture.)
Tourmaline plates: They have infrared heating so it leaves your hair silky, (locks in the moisture).
Make sure when picking a flat iron out it is 100% ceramic (if you are leaning towards that.) If it has any metal in the plates (like the CHI) then it will cause damage to your hair. It’s just like a fancy toaster. XD If you are leaning towards Tourmaline plates then You Can get the 100% tourmaline or even a mix of tourmaline and ceramic. (Like the Sedu flat iron.) Hope it helps!
