My Dear Lord I am in need of your help today.
The beautiful marriage that I once shared with my childhood friend has come to a rather disastrous state. He is an Army reservist who has seen 36 months of near-continuous deployment in the Middle East. My husband has been troubled lately because he is worried that, after being gone so long, when he gets home he will not be able to find a good enough job to help support our family. He has gone so far as to suggest that he (we) would all be better off apart and told me that he no longer wishes to even speak with me. He says that he will file for divorce as soon as he returns to the country in a couple of weeks. I am at such a loss for what to do when just 2 nights ago, he was in love with me and glad that I stayed, faithfully, by his side. He couldn't wait to come back home to me then and now he seems to hate me.
I must tell you that my husband has been a wonderful provider, father, and companion, which is a feat enough for someone who never had a father of his own to learn from. I truly believe that he and I are as "one" and I just can't bear to live the rest of my life without him here with us as a family. Even more difficult than coping with my own sadness, "how am I supposed to teach our 3 little boys to be men?"
At the height of it all is his new online membership at "MySpace." I have one too, where I talk to family and former classmates, but I am afraid that he is no longer using his account for the same purposes. That site is so full of vice that I should have asked him to close it down when he offered, but I thought that, maybe, he would do the honourable thing and keep everything platonic. As of this late last night, he appears to have been ensnared by Satan's agent surfacing on the net. At this point, he refuses to contact me or even accept my messages.
Lord, I don't know what to do. You have always provided the very best for the 5 of us and now it seems that the traitorous Temtper has found a means of destroying all of that in one fell swoop. My husband's mind has been so tortured and corrupted by Satan's influence and the war efforts over the past 3 years that he is no longer willing to live by your divine rules that he used to preach to me. Please Lord, encamp your angels around my husband and force the demons out. My husband is in so much need of your protection that he cannot even raise his own head to see it for himself. Lord, I am positive that when your angels deliver him from the hands of The Evil One he will once again see clearly and return to his life of love and glorification in Your holy name and he will be restored to us as the loving father, husband, and friend that we have all come to love and cherish.
I thank you, so much, today for all the joyful times that we have shared, for the love and support of our family and friends, and the continued health of those around us. We thank you, humbly, for your grace, Dear Lord. We know it's not because we have been so good, but because you are so good to us! You have delivered us through so much over the years, from near-death (as children), to dangerous deployments (as adults), and desperately ill children (as parents). My God, I could not have asked for a better life than the one that you have so graciously blessed us with; I feel so selfish now that I can hardly contain my tears. Lord, please forgive this desperate plea and see the plain heart of my desire to live as a one within your love and within your rule, with my family, as a whole. I pray, Dear Father, that you continue to shield us from The Wicked One and grant me these things today. Please turn my husband's heart, O Lord, from the temptation that he sees and remind him of his commitment and thankfulness to you. I believe that all things are possible in you and that your will is to preserve the God-fearing husband and wife, to the benefit of their family as a whole, so that we may set a good example to our own children. Lord, I pray you restore our family and faith that we may be a shining example of Your love and good sheperds of your faith to all those around us. I have seen other lives influenced by our unfailing love for one another in the past; please restore us to that state, that we might be put to more good us in Your name.; we are at you whim, My Lord.
With all the power of Heaven and Earth entrusted unto you, Dear Jesus, I pray for your intercession, to The Father, for the sake of my family. I know that all things are within your grasp and I have only but to ask with a pure heart full of faith for those things pleasing in your sight. It is for this simple thing, Dear Jesus, that I ask you for today, "Please protect my husband from the treachery of The Enemy and return his heart and desire towards the love and life that our family once shared, in the sight of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
Matthew 28:18
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.'"
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen
