Today my theater professor, Mr. Kenneth Strong, announced to the class that his cancer has come out of remission and he has a brain tumor. He discovered his first tumor in April 2006 and after chemotherapy he was given a clean bill of health. A little over a month ago his MRI was still clean. On October 5, 2008, he began experiencing severe headaches and odors. He immediately went to his doctor and who discovered that another tumor was growing next to where his previous tumor had been. It is the size of a lemon and in Stage 4. The tumor has affected the left side of his body, so that his left arm and leg are weakened to the point that he must use a cane. He will once again have to undergo chemotherapy.
Prof. Strong is an amazing man with a strong spirit. He loves his students and never fails to make us smile; he is one of the kindest and most loving individuals I've ever met. He is optimistic about his upcoming treatments and the outcome of his situation. Please pray for him and his family through this difficult time. Please put him on any prayer list that your church may have. Thanks!
